Exclusive and designed to offer a little something extra, our workshops provide extended fun and learning in our most popular exhibits. We cap them at just a few people, so it's really just for you!
Tickets include Museum admission!
Join us on an outdoor excursion to discover how the plants and critters that call Joy Park home are getting ready for spring! We’ll also explore how spring looks across the world... Do all geographic locations have spring? How do the people that live there identify seasons? Let’s find out!
We’ll finish the workshop by building a terrarium filled with plants from different climates (like lush rainforests and sunbaked deserts!) for you to take home.
Designed for ages 7+.
Explore the physics of springs outside in Joy Park! Take apart everyday items like keyboards and pens to uncover the secrets of their springy internal mechanisms. Then put what you’ve learned to the test by crafting a tiny spring toy to take home.
Designed for ages 7+.
Add a little magic to your space with a handmade mosaic stepping stone! Make your own unique pattern with colorful, smooth glass and then seal with grout for a one-of-a-kind creation that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
All work will be ready to pick up 1 hour after the workshop.
Designed for ages 3+.
