School-year field trips are 2 hours in length and can be scheduled between 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, Tuesday - Friday.
Summer field trips can be scheduled at either 10 am - 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm - 3 pm, Tuesday - Friday.
$8 per child, minimum 10 children to qualify for group rates
Please note: Group visit rates do not apply during Denver Public Schools' fall break, winter break or spring break.
Our exhibits are designed for newborn through eight years old.
One chaperone for every five children is required, all chaperones are free! Parents, teachers or adult caregivers over 18 years old qualify as chaperones. Chaperone Guide
Group admission is due in a single payment one week before your visit. Membership does not count toward group visits.
Group visit cancellations must be made and confirmed two weeks in advance or 50% of the full amount due will be charged.
Adult chaperones are responsible for the supervision and safety of children at all times during your visit. If you need help with safety during your visit, talk to any staff member on the Museum floor. Basic first aid supplies are available at the front desk. No adults are allowed in the Museum without children, and no children are allowed without adults.
Upon arrival at your scheduled time, please bring your group to the designated Group Entrance on the east side of the Museum. A Museum staffer will be there to greet you.
We do not have indoor facilities for lunch, even in case of inclement weather. Outdoor benches and grassy areas available in Gates Crescent Park on a first-come, first-served basis. Indoor lunch space may be reserved at least two weeks in advance for a fee, subject to availability.
Requests for programs modified in content, length, or to fit other ages may be granted, and require a customization fee starting at $50 per program.
