We offer public cooking classes, fee-based workshops, live demos or delicious samples of homemade food in The Teaching Kitchen. Each day is different!

In November, we will explore cooking with cranberries and make recipes like homemade granola and pear & cranberry grilled cheese. In December, ginger will be the star with recipes like ginger carrot soup and veggie won-tons with a ginger dipping sauce.
Monday - Saturday, times vary
Try your hand at being a chef with age-appropriate tools and fresh ingredients! Cooking classes are packed with delicious recipes and techniques and tips for cooking with your kiddos.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm
Wednesday: 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm
Saturday: 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm
Sundays: Food for Thought drop-in demos and tastings at 11 am and 12 pm
For the safety of our guests, capacity in our cooking classes is limited to 16 participants. Sign-up sheets are posted outside The Teaching Kitchen, first-come, first-served. A parent must accompany their child(ren) in The Teaching Kitchen at all times. Doors open 5 minutes before class and no late admittance is allowed.
Sundays, 11 am and 12 pm
We'll have tasty samples of homemade food using our ingredient of the month, live demonstrations or a special StoryTime is all about food.
Food for Thought is drop-in style, no sign-up required. Activities included with Museum admission.
