On May 13, get ready for an experience that is wild, wonky and WAY beyond the ordinary!
Deep in the heart of the Children’s Museum, there is a world where nothing is quite as it seems. If you dare to grab a lantern and step through the threshold, you will find yourself in a realm full of curious creatures and unexpected environments…
You’ve entered Catawampus!
But what does that mean, exactly?
The word “catawampus” dates back to the 1830s. As an adjective, it means “askew” or “awry,” and as a noun, denotes wild, mythical creatures. This exhibit will bring both definitions to life, transporting visitors to a fantastical world that is home to a crew of loveable Catawampus Creatures.
Catawampus is included with Museum admission, members are FREE! Not a member? Join today!
Following the success of SNUG, Catawampus will be the second installation in the Museum’s rotating exhibit space, Gallery Uno. Each rendition is inspired by a single word, allowing the Museum to create whimsical and joyful experiences that spark connection and conversation.
