Denver Arts Week

web ready calendar hero

The 13th annual Denver Arts Week is a celebration of all things art in the Mile High City! The Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus is proud to offer an array of activities to help you get involved and encourage your little ones to experience art in new ways, all kicking off on Sunday, November 3.

Each day is different. Check out the full schedule below!

Please note: The Museum is not participating in Night at the Museums this year. Click

Art Scavenger Hunt

Sunday, November 3 - Saturday, November 9, 11 am

Head to Joy Park to begin an art exploration through the Museum grounds to learn about the various pieces on display.

Clay Adventures in Joy Park

Sunday, November 3 - Saturday, November 9, 1:30 pm

Get inspired by your surroundings on a Joy Park adventure, then use clay to mold creatures that incorporate materials we gathered on our journey like leaves, twigs and pebbles.

Clay Animals in Adventure Forest

Monday, November 4 and Wednesday, November 6, 12 pm and 1 pm

The Council of Creatures is calling! Use clay to shape creatures you see or imagine.

Plaster Hand Prints in The Art Studio

Wednesday, November 5 - Thursday, November 7, 1 pm and 2 pm

Celebrate your unique hand print! Press your hand into a slab of clay to leave a print, learn to mix plaster until it's just right and then pour the plaster into your hand print. Come back to the studio about 20-45 minutes later (after the plaster has hardened) to finish off your one-of-a-kind creation by carving your name into the back.

Pancake Picassos in The Teaching Kitchen

Tuesday, November 5 - Friday, November 8, 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm
Saturday, November 9, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm

Trade that art smock for an apron... we're cooking up art you can eat in The Teaching Kitchen! Squeeze pancake batter on to the griddle to make your very own edible masterpiece.

Please note: Pancake Picassos will take place as the cooking class during these dates and times in lieu of regularly scheduled programming that follows the monthly theme. For the safety of our guests, capacity in our cooking classes is limited to 16 participants. Sign up outside The Teaching Kitchen, first-come, first-served.

All Denver Arts Week programming is subject to change.
