A Message from the Museum

Reference ACM letter to children's museums

“We mourn the death of George Floyd. We mourn that America is built upon systems that oppress Black people and people of color. We mourn the violent protests that occur after peaceful protests go unheard and unrecognized. We mourn the repetition of this cycle over decades and centuries. We hope that this is a time for lasting and meaningful change.”

At the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus, we affirm this message from the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and we encourage our families to utilize resources like the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture’s new online portal, Talking About Race.

We stand with Association of Children’s Museums, Black Lives Matter, and the community of Denver in the fight to end systemic racism.
