Grant funding from the foundation community is a key source of support for the Museum. Working with family, corporate and other private foundations, the Museum seeks general operating and project-based support and welcomes requests for proposals.
Who We Serve
Each year, the Children’s Museum of Denver serves more than 289,000 children and their grownups, offering educational Playscapes, programs, events and outreach programs to communities and schools. With a focus on serving all children, the Museum has several programs in place that support free admissions and memberships for low-income families. Last year, the Museum provided more than 12,000 free admissions to underserved children, offering each a yearlong membership to share with their parents and siblings. Sponsored families comprise close to 30% of the Museum’s membership base.
