How do I schedule a group visit or outreach program?

Contact the Group Reservations Coordinator at 303.561.0113 or e-mail studentvisits@cmdenver.org.

Will I receive a confirmation after I make a reservation?

Yes! Please be sure to give us your e-mail address when making your reservation so we can confirm it and send special information and updates.

What are your chaperone requirements?

Chaperones are defined as parents, teachers and adult caregivers. They provide additional safety and support to make your visit successful! We require one chaperone for every five children. These chaperones are free of charge. Chaperones above the 1:5 ratio can attend for a nominal fee.

How many children do we need to make a group?

To qualify for the group rate you must have a minimum of 10 children.

How do we pay for our visit or outreach program?

You can pay the day of your outreach program by credit card or in advance. To qualify for the group rate, please pay with one collective payment. If an invoice is needed, please contact the Group Reservations Coordinator at least 2-3 weeks in advance of your outreach program or group visit. Check payments can be mailed to the Children’s Museum of Denver.

Do you have scholarships available?

The Children’s Museum of Denver does have funding throughout the year for qualified organizations. These funds can be used for outreach programs, group visits and transportation reimbursement. Call the Group Reservations Coordinator at 303.561.0113 or e-mail studentvisits@cmdenver.org for more information.

What should we do when we arrive?

It is best if you are able to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled visit. Coordinate your chaperones with students to meet the 1:5 required ratio. The field trip coordinator should go to the front desk to check-in and pay for the group. A Museum Educator will meet your group to go over group rules and give instructions about your visit.

Where is the bus drop off and parking?

Bus drop off and loading is next to the sidewalk at the north side of the Museum, leading to the entrance. Buses should park in the upper section of Children’s Museum drive.

Where can we eat lunch?

The Children’s Museum of Denver does not offer reserved lunch facilities on site even in the case of inclement weather. We are located adjacent to Gates Crescent Park where park benches and grassy areas are available on a first-come first-serve basis for outdoor eating.
