During the school year, bring your classroom to the Museum for a field trip focused on literacy, science, environmental awareness and more.

Our programs and Playscapes (exhibits) support Colorado Model Content Standards for PreK to Grade 3 and, even better, your kids will experience a playful way of learning!

Child-guided Field Trips

Explore the whole Museum on your own and visit our exhibits at your own pace.
Length: 90-minute visit
Student Price: $4.50 per child
Adult Price: 1 chaperone for every 5 students* is FREE, additional adults are $4.50 each
*Please note that we require a 1:5 ratio of adults to children for all field trips

Programmed Field Trips

Bring your group for a facilitated program and time to explore the Museum on your own.
Length: 2-hour visit, which includes a 45 minute program and 75 minutes of child-guided experience (Just Toolin’ Around program is 90 minutes with a 90-minute Museum exploration)
Student Price: $6.50 per child (Just Toolin’ Around is $7.00 per child)
Adult Price: 1 chaperone for every 5 students* is FREE, additional adults are $6.50 each
*Please note that we require a 1:5 ratio of adults to children for all field trips

The grade designation given with each description represents the developmental appropriateness of each programmed field trip.

Around the World with Professor Wiggleworts

Explore the cultures of Africa, Asia and South America through music, dance and interactive stories. This assembly-style participation play gets kids moving and learning as they act out traditional tales and celebrate the diversity of these global cultures.

Bubble Lab

Young scientists will learn about bubbles and their amazing properties. Then, using bubble solution ingredients and measuring instruments, they will work in teams to develop and test their very own formula for bubble solution! Note: Bubble Lab program does not take place in the Bubbles Exhibit.

Read, sing and dance your way though the life cycles of living things and learn about the adaptations that help plants and animals survive and thrive!

Calling all young explorers! Learn about continents, countries, rivers, mountains and oceans with a one-of-a-kind look at the Earth inside our 26-foot-tall Earth Balloon.

This assembly-style performance is interactive theater at its best! Your students will bring nursery rhymes and fairytales to life as they act out the adventures of this mischievous little cookie.

Just Toolin’ Around

Grab a hard hat and enter the construction zone where children practice team skills using real tools, large-scale building materials and blueprints to build a six-foot-tall house. Please note that children will need closed-toe shoes to participate safely.
