Day-Out-of-School Camps
Get the most out of days home from school with day camps at the Children’s Museum of Denver! From theater to art and science to history, camps are packed with activities, games and hands-on learning for kids ages 4-8. Each unique camp includes guided activities led by our experienced Museum educators and plenty of free play within our marvelous exhibits. Campers should bring a sack lunch and come dressed for active play.
NEW!
We are now offering Preschool Playdates for children ages 3-5. The activities, games and hands-on learning in these half-day camps are designed specifically with preschoolers in mind.

Ages 4-8
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.*
Little campers will learn all about the outside world. Our adventure will be filled with
stargazing, storytelling around the campfire, s'mores, nature walks and more.
SAMPLE ACTIVITIES: birdfeeder construction, nature walk, stargazing in the Museum's
mini-planetarium - Monday, November 12 - Animals and Art
Ages 4-8
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.*
Love animals? Learn about animal colors, patterns and body coverings, explore animal
habitats, and play with different art techniques to craft our own cool creature creations!
SAMPLE ACTIVITIES: making animal masks in the tradition of Native Americans from the
Pacific Northwest - PRESCHOOL PLAYDATE: Monday, November 19 - My Five Senses
Ages 3-5
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Get ready to use all your amazing five senses! Through music, art, science and cooking
projects, we’ll explore the sights, sounds, textures, smells and tastes that fill our world.
SAMPLE ACTIVITIES: make a liquid kaleidoscope; play in a world dance and drumming
rhythm band - Friday, December 21 - You’re a Star
Ages 4-8
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.*
From shadow puppets to scarf juggling and stop-motion animation, we’ll get into the act
and put on unforgettable performances as we learn theater tricks and techniques.
SAMPLE ACTIVITIES: make our own stop-motion animation movie; face painting and
costume creation

Preschool Playdates: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Day-Out-of-School Camps: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.*
*Aftercare is available from 3-4 p.m. for $10.

Preschool Playdates: 3- 5-year-olds
Day-Out-of-School Camps: 4- 8-year-olds
Cost:
Preschool Playdates: $25 per member/$30 per nonmember
Day-Out-of-School Camps: $45 per member/$50 per nonmember
Aftercare is available from 3-4 p.m. for $10.
Camp fee includes supplies and snacks. Please remember to bring a sack lunch.
Multi-day Discount:
Sign up for two or more days and receive $5 off each additional day. First day is full price.

Please note: Submitting an application does NOT guarantee a spot in camp. Your reservation is confirmed when you receive an official email confirmation, which you will receive within 5 days of submitting your application. If the camp session you request is full, you may request placement in another session OR withdraw your application without penalty. On the day of your camp you may pay by cash or check, otherwise the credit card on file will be charged for camp tuition.
